Overview
Jet A1 is a high-quality kerosene-based aviation turbine fuel specifically formulated for use in commercial jet aircraft and gas turbine engines. It meets stringent international specifications regarding its flash point, freezing point, energy density, and thermal stability, ensuring safe and reliable performance under the extreme conditions of high-altitude flight. Jet A1 is the most widely used aviation fuel in the world outside of the United States, consumed in vast quantities by commercial airlines, cargo carriers, and private aviation operators.
It is produced in refineries and distributed through highly regulated aviation fuel supply chains, including airport fuelling infrastructure. Jet A1 is a major traded commodity on global energy markets, with prices closely linked to crude oil benchmarks.
